Amber Days

About:

Amber Days is an Aboriginal-owned ethical children’s wear label that is inspired by the Australian bush, desert and sea. Amber Days is made for mindful, adventurous, free-spirited little ones, who are the next generation of change makers.

After doing some research into the fashion industry and the toxins and practices used, founder Corina was pretty terrified. It reinforced the importance of transparency in the fashion industry and buying from designers that use organic fabrics that have been dyed with non-toxic dyes and produced ethically. The fast fashion industry needs to change and we need to support the ones making this change.

For this reason, Amber Days strives to create garments with minimal impact to the environment and also be a positive change in the fashion industry by supporting local and ethical manufacturers and fabric suppliers. Amber Days endeavour to continually improve their processes around sustainability and their environmental impact as well as support women and slow fashion.

Supply Chain:

All garments are handmade in India under fairtrade conditions. The brand aims to use Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic fabrics or otherwise strive to use the highest quality natural fabrics on the market.

Boxxkids

About:

BOXXkids was created by two mums living on the opposite sides of the world, making clothes that they like their own kids to wear, while being gentle to our planet. They aim to create products which will be gentle on childrens' sensitive skin and which will also last and still look good after many rounds of washing.

Sustainability and ethical manufacturing are at the centre of everything they do. As mothers, they believe in the motto ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’. They don’t want their clothes to come at the cost of people or the earth. The quality and fabric choices of BOXXkids clothes guarantee that they will be worn over and over again, and then hopefully passed onto another sibling or friend.

You won’t see seasonal collections from the brand, all of their clothes are made in small numbers to prevent anything going to waste.

Supply Chain:

All BOXXkids clothing is manufactured ethically in the Czech Republic. The brand is passionate about sourcing the best organic fabrics from different Czech and European suppliers, and buying local whenever they can (their snaps and all clothes tags are Czech made, their wooden buttons come from Germany and are also GOTS certified organic).

Colored Organics

About:

Founder, Amanda, started Colored Organics with a mission to make a difference in the clothing industry. The brand is committed to creating clothes that do good, not just in our homes, but throughout every stage of production and beyond the clothing industry.

They start by choosing organic cotton because it's better for farmers, better for our planet and better for our children. By choosing to be 100% sweatshop-free, Colored Organics ensure that children play in their clothes, not make them.

Supply Chain:

All of their clothing is created under GOTS certification, the world’s leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres. Only products that contain a minimum of 70% organic fibres can become GOTS certified. All accessories, dyes, and other inputs must meet certain environmental and toxicological criteria.

Colored Organics garments are only made by adults who are working by choice and treated well. Their factories are GOTS certified which ensures work conditions that keep everyone‘s health and safety in mind. Above-standard wages are paid to every worker so they can provide for their families. Workers are capped on how many hours they can work per week and are granted vacation time and holidays.

To ensure that all of their standards are met the brand conducts regular audits at all stages of production.
